You have to run up to plant it (planting it in the back to pull things to the mages would get me thunderwaved into unconsciousness), you just gave up your standard to plant it so you're exposed, and if anyone doesn't take the opportunity to smack the standard bearer the round he plants it, they're going to get sucked to him the next round and pound him then.
3) The fighter is sloooooooow. Head to far to plant it and the fighter may not even get there in time, (or may decide the swirling concentration of baddies isn't as important as the straggler off on the side lines). So it can very easily backfire.

Things I like:
1) Man.... If it works to setup a fireball action point fire shroud turn or combos with the warlock minifireball? I'm gonna be grinning from ear to ear.
2) The slow really helps the fighter stay near his marks so he can continue controlling them once he gets there.
3) It's literally plunging your battle flag into the field of combat and saying "BRING IT!" How bad ass is that?

The horse and the flag aren't the mathematically optimized uses of party rewards, but this new edition has sure got some fun toys! ^_^Jeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04819107856276140817noreply@blogger.com
