I'll try and get a loan of the book for a quick flick through before I commit to anything but yes, maybe it's worth a good look.Dangerous Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11494853825931603065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999500110309022298.post-9615136207764729722011-09-02T10:17:49.070-05:002011-09-02T10:17:49.070-05:00Brian - if you're looking to run it for someth...Brian - if you're looking to run it for something other than 4e it's not bad because there isn't a bunch of crunch getting in the way. If you were going to use it to start up a 4E game then yeah, it's a little off target in some ways.Blacksteelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16289298640828309072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999500110309022298.post-26915680246668363732011-09-02T07:23:58.930-05:002011-09-02T07:23:58.930-05:00That was a very thourough review. Now fo create your sandbox" supplement. Although I don't play 4th ed, I had considered picking up this book for some inspiration. Now I don't think I'll bother. Cheers for saving me some cash.Dangerous Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11494853825931603065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999500110309022298.post-65990159079411058752011-09-01T08:17:27.668-05:002011-09-01T08:17:27.668-05:00Thanks for the confirmation Sully. I'm actuall...Thanks for the confirmation Sully. I'm actually interested in the feywild stuff quite a bit so I'm hoping for it too. Considering that it ties into the background of some of the major races and it's a "sunny" dangerous place as opposed to the by now very familiar "dark" dangerous place, I think it has a ton of potential.

I would expect to always have more material for Heroic tier than any other but I'd still like to see some new things for paragon and epic. I think you could have a product plan of heroic support all the time while alternating focus on paragon one year and epic the next year. I think part of the problem with playing Epic is that there isn't much support out there for it. Plus, if they put out a really cool adventure for it, people will play it - not every campaign has to start at level 1.Blacksteelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16289298640828309072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999500110309022298.post-28468175686770478802011-08-31T13:38:39.312-05:002011-08-31T13:38:39.312-05:00Gloomwrought is definitely what you're looking...Gloomwrought is definitely what you're looking for in terms of Paragon / Early Elic play. It's easily adaptable for short jaunts into the Shadowfell, too, rather than an extended stay. Also, I've been hearing rumblings of a similar Feywild book or box set coming early 2012, to go with the Heroes of the Feywild book.

I think Wizards is focusing on Heroic tier because they know that's what most people are playing in. Epic tier is only attainable by the most dedicated of groups, and I imagine they are few and far between.Sullyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08775443433933924102noreply@blogger.com
